Client review, Sharing
Let clients review your site without making an account
Why a share link beats a signup form for client feedback, and the controls that keep it safe once the link leaves your hands.

Most review rounds stall on the same step. You send the staging link, and the client has to create an account, confirm an email and learn a new tool before they can say "the button is too small". Some do it. Many reply with a screenshot in an email thread instead, and the feedback lands somewhere nobody is looking.
Notemark removes that step. Every canvas has a share link, and anyone who opens it can read the page and the comments straight away, with no account.
What the client does
- Opens the link. The live site loads inside the canvas.
- Clicks the spot they want to talk about and types.
- Enters a name and email the first time they comment, so you know who said what.
That is the whole onboarding. From there they can add comments and replies, attach images and resolve threads. They cannot edit or delete other people's comments, change a comment's status, mention people or touch the canvas settings, so a client cannot rearrange your triage by accident.
If their email already belongs to a Notemark account, they are offered the option to sign in so the canvas joins their shared canvases. It is an offer, not a gate.
Keep control of the link
A link that works without an account is only useful if you can decide how long it works and who it reaches. Under Link options in the Share panel:
- Password Protection: reviewers enter a password on every visit. Available on the Solo plan and higher.
- Link Expiry: never, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
- Welcome Note: a message reviewers see when they open the link. Use it to say what you want reviewed and what is out of scope.
When a round is over, you have two ways to close it:
- Regenerate link creates a new address and signs out everyone using the old one.
- Remove link turns the link off and ends every reviewer's session.
Changing the password or letting the link expire also ends reviewer sessions. People you invited by email keep their access either way.
When a link is not enough
Some reviewers need more than a link. Invite them to a single canvas by email under Share, People as Can view, Can comment or Can edit, without adding them to your workspace. If they already have an account they get access straight away; if not, Notemark emails them an invite.
A review round that works
- Write a Welcome Note that names the pages and the decisions you need.
- Set Link Expiry to the length of the round, so old links do not linger.
- Turn on Password Protection for anything under NDA.
- Regenerate the link when the round closes and send the new one with the next build.
