REVIEWING

Commenting

Pin comments to any element, reply in threads, mark up screenshots, check every viewport and resolve feedback.

  1. Switch the toolbar from Browse to Comment. Press C to toggle between them.
  2. Click the spot on the page you want to talk about. A pin appears there.
  3. Type your comment and press Enter to post. Shift+Enter adds a new line.

In Browse mode the page works as normal, so you can click through links and menus to reach the state you want to comment on.

Each comment records the page address, the element you clicked and the viewport, and gets a cropped screenshot of that area after it is posted.

Reply in a thread

Click a pin to open its thread. Write in Add a reply... and press Cmd+Enter (Mac) or Ctrl+Enter (Windows) to send.

From a thread you can also Edit or Delete your own comments, add an emoji, Copy link to the thread, or Copy as Markdown.

Mentions

Type @ to mention a member of the canvas or workspace. Reviewers on a share link cannot mention people.

Labels

Tag a comment as Bug, Feedback, Question, Suggestion or Urgent.

Images

Click Attach image, paste or drag an image into a comment or reply. PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF files up to 10 MB work, with up to 4 images per comment. Reviewers on a share link add their name before they can attach images.

Mark up a screenshot

Before posting, click Mark up screenshot to draw on the crop:

Check every viewport

Resolve feedback

Click Resolve on a thread when it is done, or Reopen to bring it back. The comments panel filters by Open and Resolved, sorts by newest or oldest, and can show Only mine or comments from Other people.

Workspace owners and editors can resolve any comment. Reviewers on a share link can resolve after they have entered their name.

To stop new feedback on a canvas, turn on Pause new comments.
