MCP server

Connect Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, VS Code or Windsurf to Notemark so your coding agent can read feedback, reply and resolve comments.

The Notemark MCP server lets a coding agent read the feedback on your canvases, look at screenshots, reply, and resolve comments when the fix is in. It needs the Solo plan or higher.

The server uses streamable HTTP.

Connect your editor

The quickest setup is in Settings, Connections: pick your editor and copy the configuration. Sign in (OAuth) is the default, and Cursor and VS Code can install it in one click.

VS Code uses the same entry under a "servers" key in .vscode/mcp.json. Windsurf names the address serverUrl.

Two ways to authenticate, both covering the whole workspace:

OAuth: your editor opens a Notemark sign-in window. Nothing to copy.
API key: create one under Settings, Connections, API keys with Create API key. Give it a name, an expiration (none, 30 days, 90 days or 1 year) and scopes: Read comments and Resolve & reply. The full key is shown once. Send it as Authorization: Bearer atk_....

A key stops working if the person who created it leaves the workspace.

Replying, resolving, changing status, assigning and deleting need the Resolve & reply scope.

When an agent resolves a comment or changes its status, a linked Linear, Jira, GitHub or GitLab ticket is updated too, the same as when you do it in the app. See Status sync.

One canvas only

To give an agent a single canvas, open its Share panel and use Copy MCP URL. That address works without a workspace key and stops working if the share link expires or has a password.
